Why Debbie Holmes should get your vote on May 27th:
Debbie has always been ardently progressive, and will, if elected as the Democratic nominee, provide strong clash with Congressman Simpson. When David Sneddon, Debbie's primary opponent, was asked by the Idaho Statesman to state which politician he considered himself most similar to, he chose Zell Miller, a former Senator from Georgia. Miller, a far-right Democrat, endorsed George W. Bush over John Kerry in 2004, as well as the Republican candidates for the governorship and lieutenant-governorship of Georgia.
When David Sneddon ran for Senate in 2002, he was asked by the League of Women Voters if he would endorse his Democratic primary opponent, Alan Blinken, if he failed to win the nomination. David Sneddon declined to endorse Blinken, instead stating that he would vote for Larry Craig if unsuccessful. If the Democratic Party is going to be successful in Idaho, we don't need a Zell Miller Democrat; we need a strong progressive voice from someone able to represent a true alternative to Congressman Simpson. Debbie Holmes can be that voice for you, if you give her your vote on May 27th in the Democratic primary.
